(Senior) Accountant General Ledger (m/f/d)

Your area of responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee the general ledger accounting, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial transactions
  • Perform regular reconciliations of general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies
  • Post journal entries and maintain the chart of accounts as needed
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports for senior management and external stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Play a key role in the month-end and year-end close processes for group-level financials
  • Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process
  • Recommend and implement improvements to financial accounting and reporting 
  • Participate in special projects related to financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and process enhancements as assigned by management
     

Your profile of qualification:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on general ledger accounting
  • Proficiency in ERP software (FI/CO modules) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Previous exposure to “Digital-to-Customer” business and retail environments is a strong plus
  • Strong knowledge of relevant accounting principles and standards (IFRS, German GAAP/HGB) and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fluent in German and English
