Assistant Logistics - Import / Inbound (m/f/d)

Your area of responsibilities:

 

  • Steers and coordinates the logistics import and inbound flow of goods from suppliers to all warehouses in Europe, incl. sea, train, truck and air freight 
  • Collaborates closely with suppliers in East Asia to ensure a timely departures
  • Coordinates with forwarders in Europe to manage direct deliveries to customers and deliveries to all warehouses
  • Aligns with the Customs department on ideal import terms for all freight types
  • Tracks performance of carriers and forwarders
  • Monitors, tracks and controls invoices, to analyze and report cost drivers
  • Supports the preparation of management presentations and analysis 
  • Supports the preparation and execution of sea/air freight tenders 
  • Guarantees correct bookings of goods received in SAP

 

Your profile of qualification:

 

  • Professional training (Berufsausbildung) or university degree in Logistics
  • First work experience in inbound and import logistics is a plus
  • Fluent communication skills in English and German
  • Knowledge of sea freight (container) logistics
  • First work experience with SAP S/4 Hana is a plus 
  • Hands-on mentality
  • Structured, indepent, and problem-solving focused work approach 
  • Continuous improvement mindset
