Senior Director Product Management Child Safety (m/f/d)

Your areas of responsibilities

 

  • New Product strategy and portfolio development for product category Child safety (car seats) in line with company strategic and commercial objectives
  • Lifecycle-, roadmap-planning and prioritization of the product portfolio
  • Monitor commercial success of the product portfolio in the market and implement interventions
  • Develop consumer segmentation and identify consumer needs for the product category
  • Monitor, analyze and evaluate market trends, consumer behavior and competitor activities 
  • Act as category owner and coordinate activities between Sales, Marketing, R&D, Quality and Operations and if required further areas of the organization
  • Liaise with and collaborate with external certification and test organisations (ADAC, Stiftung Warentest, TÜV...)
  • Train & guide Marketing, Sales and Global Training team on the overall product category direction
  • Present product concepts and product stories to internal and external clients
  • Identify and recommend product directions/new opportunities and marketing strategies in order to support sales activation
  • Steer and coordinate Marketing campaigns that are consistent, effective and appropriate for the defined consumer groups
  • Oversee and steer all activities of the product management department and ensure they are efficiently and effectively executed
  • Manage, develop and grow a dedicated team looking after the product category

 

Your profile of qualifications

 

  • University degree or equivalent in a technical discipline (EG Wirtschaftsingenieurwesens, techn. Betriebswirtschaftslehre)
  • Proven track record of introduction and/or further development of innovative products in the segment of technical durable goods (B2C)
  • Substancial Product management background coupled with a strong Leadership and Management experience
  • Strong commercial acumen 
  • Experience of continious improvement of internal structures & processes
  • Prime written oral and written communication in German and English
  • Analytical skills
  • Entrepeneurial personality
  • Hands-on and pragmatic
