Director Technical Procurement (m/f/d)

Areas of responsibilities:

 

  • Design and execute procurement strategies for the brands Cybex, gb, CBX, considering technical requirements, quality standards, cost-effectiveness, and supplier capabilities
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and monitor their performance, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance procurement processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize risks. Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and emerging technologies relevant to technical procurement
  • Implement best practices, standard operating procedures, and automation tools to streamline the procurement lifecycle. Lead and manage a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support
  • Creation and responsibility for cost analysis and overview reports based on BOM Costing
  • Tender Management and RFQ process incl. obtaining quotes
  • Quote analysis, comparison and creation of cost estimates
  • Develop and manage the procurement budget, ensuring cost control and adherence to financial guidelines through strategic sourcing, competitive bidding, volume discounts, and effective contract negotiation
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, R&D, and operations teams, to understand technical specifications and requirements for procurement


Your profile of qualification:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in technical procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, with progressively increasing responsibilities
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, and strong understanding of technical specifications and requirements for procuring complex goods and services
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost savings
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Solid understanding of risk management principles and practices within procurement
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and senior stakeholders
  • Proficiency in procurement software tools, SAP, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and data analysis tools
  • Willingness to Travel
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus
