Your seat to fill:

 

  • Apply biomechanical and engineering expertise to improve children’s footwear fit, cushioning, flexibility, stability, weight, durability, safety and ease of use
  • Translate consumer needs, insights into growing feet and scientific findings into relevant innovation opportunities for children’s footwear
  • Research emerging technologies in biomechanics, footwear, materials and manufacturing to build a short-, mid- and long-term innovation pipeline
  • Explore and develop new materials, constructions, components and manufacturing processes tailored to growing feet
  • Develop technical concepts, prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions from early exploration through validation and product integration
  • Lead hands-on experimentation, iterative testing and prototype refinement against measurable performance criteria
  • Define scientifically sound test methods, validation protocols, performance criteria and acceptance thresholds for new footwear concepts and technologies
  • Analyze biomechanical, laboratory, wear-test and product-performance data to guide technical decisions and product improvements
  • Partner with research institutes, universities, laboratories and technology experts, supporting scientific documentation, patent research, invention disclosures and protectable intellectual property
  • Work closely with Design, Product Management, Development, Sourcing, Quality and suppliers to assess feasibility, consumer relevance, safety, sustainability, cost, manufacturability, scalability and intellectual property potential, supporting the transition into commercialization


 
Your stroll to CYBEX:

 

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Engineering, Materials Science, Sports Engineering, Industrial Design Engineering, Footwear Technology or a related technical discipline, or equivalent knowledge gained through relevant training and practical experience
  • Relevant experience in product innovation, footwear engineering, product development or a comparable technical field
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and physical product development, with an analytical approach to solving technical problems
  • Experience in footwear, sporting goods, consumer products or children’s products is an advantage
  • Knowledge of footwear constructions, manufacturing processes and materials such as foams, polymers, textiles, rubbers and engineered components is an advantage
  • Experience with prototyping, testing and iterative refinement of physical products
  • Familiarity with CAD or other 3D development tools is an advantage
  • Ability to translate technical findings into practical, commercially relevant product solutions
  • Experience collaborating with suppliers, laboratories, research institutions or manufacturing partners is an advantage
  • Knowledge of children’s biomechanics, foot development or requirements for children’s products is an advantage
