Areas of Responsibility:

• Lead the General Ledger team, including Group Accounting functions, across the EMEA region
• Oversee and coordinate the preparation of individual financial statements for month-end and year-end close for EMEA entities in compliance with IFRS and HGB standards
• Liaise with financial auditors to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Drive optimization of internal finance processes and improve interfaces between the Finance Department and other departments
• Support and lead various accounting projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance requirements
• Coordinate and manage group reporting and consolidation processes for the preparation of consolidated financial statements according to IFRS and HGB for EMEA entities
• Analyze, interpret, and reconcile financial statements and General Ledger accounts to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy in accounting
• Serve as the accounting business partner across the organization, advising on the appropriate accounting treatment for new business initiatives
• Coordinate and support external audits, including half-year and year-end financial statements
• Manage ad-hoc financial reporting requests based on management’s needs

Profile of Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field, or a comparable qualification
• Extensive knowledge of accounting standards under HGB and IFRS
• Strong technical and managerial experience in finance, with a proven track record of leading teams
• Hands-on experience with the standardization and digitization of General Ledger processes
• Solid project management skills, with experience in leading international and interdisciplinary projects
• Proficiency in SAP and other relevant accounting software
• A proactive attitude towards continuous improvement, with strong analytical and structured thinking
• High level of independence, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining quality standards
• Fluency in both German and English, with the ability to work effectively in an international team
