Head of Logistics Operations (m/f/d)

Areas of responsibilities:

 

  • Guarantees customer satisfaction and smooth logistics processes within budget
  • Manages and develops the logistics operations team
  • Responsible for all operational logistics processes flows (inbound, 3PL warehousing, outbound transportation), incl. incoming and outgoing goods inspection, packaging, shipping and export
  • Owns operational performance and ensures cost compliance
  • Guarantees correct bookings of goods movements in SAP
  • Identifies continuous improvement opportunities and drives implementation
  • Manages external and internal stakeholders to steer performance
  • Ensures compliance with legal requirements regarding load security and customs regulations
  • Leads tenders and rate negotiations
  • Supports management in logistics strategy development and execution

 

 

Your profile of qualification:

 

  • University degree in logistics, business administration or engineering
  • Profund experience in managing logsitics operations in a fast paced business environment
  • Experience in team management and development
  • Knowledge in SAP S/4Hana is preferred
  • Strong logistics process understanding and a proven record of managing logisitcs flows end to end
  • Experience in tender management is a plus
  • Passion for Logistics
  • Self-motivating and self-cofidence
  • Strong analytical and data driven mindset
  • Hands-on mentality and continuous improvement mindset
  • Excellent communication skills throughout all levels in the organization in English, German is a plus
