Lead Engineer Child Safety (m/f/d)

Your areas of responsibilities:

 

  • Lead the end-to-end development of diverse technical child consumer products, with a specific emphasis on Car Seats, from conceptualization to series-production, incorporating electronic smart applications
  • Efficiently coordinate and oversee the team's activities, conducting regular reviews to ensure project alignment and progress
  • Assume a leadership role in small construction teams, demonstrating professional authority to drive project success
  • Independently construct intricate product components, demonstrating technical expertise.
  • Innovatively implement mechanical solutions and create freehand sketches for immediate visualization of concepts
  • Develop technical documentation and drawings for both existing and future products, catering to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Foster cross-functional teamwork within intercultural teams, serving as a vital interface with international designers, development teams, and suppliers
  • Provide intensive support to our foreign suppliers during series production launches, ensuring smooth and successful production runs
  • Integrate modification requests and collaborate on technical proposals for innovative solutions

 

Your Profile of Qualifications:

 

  • Successful completion of a technical qualification or technical engineering studies with a focus on mechanics, plastics, or a related field.
  • Several years of hands-on experience in the development of mechanical industrial or consumer goods, particularly those made of plastic or metal.
  • Proficiency in 3D Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools, preferably PTC Creo
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office software.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both internal teams and external partners
  • A precise, independent, and goal-oriented approach to work, ensuring high-quality results
  • Willingness to travel, including trips to China, to support project needs and collaborate with international teams
  • High flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities
  • Capacity to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously, managing time and resources effectively
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team, fostering cooperation and synergy among team members
  • Fluency in English is a requirement, good command in German is a plus
