Manager Softgoods Engineering (m/f/d)

Your areas of responsibilities:

 

 

  • Manage the team of softgoods engineers, designers, and technicians
  • Provide mentorship, support, and guidance to drive their professional development and enhance overall team performance
  • Oversee the entire softgoods product development lifecycle, from concept ideation to prototyping, testing, and final production
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure engineering feasibility and alignment with customer needs and brand vision
  • Work closely with material sourcing and R&D teams to identify, evaluate, and select appropriate materials for softgoods production, considering factors such as performance, durability, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness
  • Implement quality control measures and testing procedures to ensure that softgoods products meet established standards for performance, safety, and compliance
  • Collaborate with manufacturing partners and suppliers to optimize production processes, minimize defects, and ensure smooth manufacturing operations
  • Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and innovations in softgoods engineering and integrate them into product development to maintain a competitive edge in the market
  • Collaborate with other departments such as design, product management, marketing, and sales to align engineering efforts with overall business objectives and customer preferences
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the engineering team, promoting innovative thinking, process optimization, and problem-solving

 
 

Your profile of qualification:

 

 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Textile Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience in softgoods product development and engineering, preferably in a managerial or leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of textile materials, fabric properties, and manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
  • Proficiency in project management and organizational skills
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making
  • A passion for innovation and the ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
