Senior Manager Product Quality Child Safety (m/f/d)

Your areas of responsibilities:

 

  • Allocate and organize quality resources effectively for projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives
  • Develop and implement quality plans and strategies to meet project quality goals and requirements
  • Act as the primary representative of quality in key child safety projects, advocating for quality standards and requirements with product management, project management, and R&D teams
  • Coach and develop direct reports in terms of tools and skills necessary for effective quality management fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the quality team
  • Ensure thorough testing of quality requirements and translate test results into actionable insights for product improvement
  • Proactively identify compliance risks and non-conformities related to product quality
  • Ensure effective application of quality tools such as D-FMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), 8D (Eight Disciplines), Control Plans, etc., to mitigate risks and improve product quality
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of project quality-related results and activities for the Child Safety product category, ensuring traceability and compliance with internal and external requirements

 

Your profile of qualification:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred
  • Extensive experience in quality management within the consumer products industry, with a focus on child safety products
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with a proven track record of developing high-performing teams with strong self-assertiveness and confidence in decision-making
  • In-depth knowledge of quality management principles, tools, and methodologies, including D-FMEA, 8D, Control Plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Sound understanding of regulatory requirements and standards related to child safety products
  • Detail-oriented with Hands-on-mentality, expertise in problem solving methodologies
  • Understanding of the Product Development Process with knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Availability and willingness to travel as required
  • Fluency in business English
